How to Import or Export a Contact List
In this article, you will learn how to import or export a contact file in MerwinSaaS.
What you will need:
• A MerwinSaaS account
• An email list saved in CSV format
1. Importing an Email List
Begin by converting your Excel file into CSV format. Open your contact list file in Excel, click File, then Save As, and select the desired separator (e.g., Comma). Click Save to finalize the process.
Importing the CSV file
Once you have saved your file, log in to your MerwinSaaS account to import the contacts:
1. Go to Contacts in the CRM tab, then click Import contacts.
2. Go to Select CSV delimiter to specify the delimiter used in your CSV file (Comma, semicolon, or pipe), and click the box labeled: Click to select the CSV file that contains your contacts to upload your file.
3. Select the tag you want to assign to these contacts, then click Next.
4. You can also subscribe your contacts to a campaign at this step.
5. After clicking Next, a pop-up will appear where you can choose the data type of each column, such as Email, First name, and any other relevant column from your file.
6. Finally, click Import to begin the import process.
IMPORTANT: The list of contacts that will be imported must only contain the email addresses of contacts who have given their explicit consent to receive your emails.
2. Exporting an Email List
7. Navigate to the CRM tab, then click Contacts to display the contact list.
8. Select the contacts you want to export, then click More actions.
9. From the list of actions, click Export.
After clicking Export, a CSV file containing your selected contacts will be generated and sent to the email address associated with your MerwinSaaS account.
